Thank you for choosing Zoof Boots—flexible, natural rubber boots with quirky designs to protect your pup’s paws from dirt, heat, and infections. You’ve taken a big step toward keeping your pet’s paws safe and comfy, and we’re here to support you every step of the way!
How to Introduce Zoof Boots
-
Get treats ready: Keep your dog’s favorite treat handy. Let them sniff the shoes for a while. Sniffing helps them understand, feel assured, and reduces anxiety.
-
Check the boots: Take a moment to understand how the boots need to be put on. Check the "how to put on" video. Stretch the boots a couple of times to get a hang of it. They will be stiff at first as rubber takes a while to break in.
-
Set the stage: Keep calm, as your dog will pick up on your anxiety. If they feel more confident on a carpet or rug, let them stay there.
-
Start with the back paws: Begin by putting the shoes only on your dog’s back paws, as they’re less sensitive than the front paws. This gradual approach helps them adjust more comfortably.

Helping Your Dog Adjust to Zoof Boots
-
Reward and Praise: Once the boots are on, give your pup a treat and lots of praise to encourage positive behavior. Start slow—try just the back paws for 2-3 days before adding the front ones.
-
Check the Fit: If your dog licks their paws, stop and check the fit. Are the boots pressing on the dew claw? Adjust if needed for comfort.
-
Help Them Get Used to It: It’s normal for dogs to feel awkward initially. Use their favorite treat, toy, or a person they love to encourage movement. Hopping or funny walking is normal at first!
-
Be Patient: Some dogs adjust quickly, while others need a few days. Once they realize the boots provide grip and reduce pain, they’ll walk more confidently.
-
Add the Front Paws: Once your pup is comfortable with the back boots, try putting on the front ones. This step is usually easier!

The easiest hack is to take them outdoors. Most often, they get distracted and learn to walk quickly!
We recommend to keep the boots on for outdoor walks only for maximum of 30-40 minutes.
Zoof Boots are made of natural rubber and not suitable for indoor use.
If the boots are new and coming off your pup’s paws, they may be too big. Reach out to us within 7 days for an exchange. If the boots start coming off after a few weeks of use, they may have stretched out—it’s time for a new pair!
If the neck feels tight to stretch, that’s natural—it will loosen up with use. You’ve also received two trial boots in a larger size. Try them on your pup’s back paws for a few days and take them for a walk. If the trial boots come off, the original size you ordered is the right fit. If not, you can exchange them.
It is simple! Handwash it with soap & water and let it dry.
Sprinkle and spread talcum powder on the boots and store them in a box or bag.
